A lot of my paintings are inspired by my environment. I am especially fascinated by old architecture and contemporary urban landscape, the rich layers of history as well as the individual memories they represent.

I am primarily attracted to graffiti art as a form of personal expression, and the way it relates to commercial advertising. As the line between the two becomes increasingly blurry, a new, fragmented reality is created.

My paintings are documentation of that reality, of our time seen from a personal perspective. Tightly cropped and re-contextualized, the painted snapshots of urban microcosms become “visual noise”: abstract patterns, intriguing textures, ambiguous shapes of color.
